Background 

 

A specialist e-commerce company operating in niche areas in the home and garden industry got in touch as they had been running PPC for a while but wanted to improve their results. 

A comprehensive audit was undertaken to identify the opportunities for the Google Adwords campaigns and to create recommendations to improve the quality of traffic and increase revenue and the return on ad spend. 

Following the audit, I was hired on an on-going retainer basis to implement the action plan from the audit and take over the management.

Approach

 

The campaigns were restructured to follow the themes of the website and have more tightly themed ad groups to improve ad relevance, quality scores and conversion rates. 

Different optimisation tactics were put in place to make sure that ad spend was effective; pause/lower bids on worse performing keywords, place time of day and device bid adjustments, effectively use RLSA’s. 

We work together to understand the businesses priorities, targets and align the PPC strategy towards this.
